The learning outcomes of the programme are;
- Understand the fundamentals of ICT and acquire the basic skills in the use of a Personal Computer in a network environment;
- Understand the basic concepts and processing of accounts data;
- Use MS Word for basic word processing and MS Excel for basic spread sheet applications;
- Compare and contrast the features of five accounting packages u2013SAGE Simply Accounting, Quick Books, MYOB, SAGE 50, and Tally;
- Use a Personal Computer for accounting and functional areas in a business organization such as u2013 create chart of accounts, inventory management, sales and purchasing, income and expenditure recording, create and maintain ledger accounts, generate reports in accounting and related functional areas;
